Niger Delta is the highest contributor to the economy of Nigeria, yet one of the least developed. And its environment is the worst degraded and polluted by both domestic/solid waste, oil spillage and gas flaring. The people of Niger Delta suffer from extreme sanitation problems, as a result of this pollutant being illegally disposed on the Land, Air and Waters. This environmental degradation poses great threat to the health and safety of the people and that of the environment.
